i actually don't even know if he's a good guy, but he's like a genuinely good person in the sense that he tries to take responsibility over his role and actions within his surroundings. he's like, a pretty realistic dude, tbh. not going out of his way for others, yet not showing himself to be a "hyper-realistic, insensitive and sociopathic CEO asshole." he's just a dude doing his best.

i remember reading this a LONG time ago, and i stopped around ch72 i believe. from what i remember, MC is an empathetic and good guy who will actively pursue what he believes to be right, except he is lowkey fucking TWISTED, which is like, a mild side-effect of isolating torture that wouldn't be found within any first-world country's history of governmental war crimes.

it's like. 85% of the time he uses his brain he will do the right thing, it's just almost a 100% chance that he is not using his brain at all. the other 15% when he uses his brain he is fighting playing DIRTY, but he also doesn't touch people who aren't in the game, so he's actually quite upright in that sense. he doesn't drag people into a mudfight, but if their feet are already wet, he'll fucking drown you alongside with him.

it's actually so cool bc MC fits this due to his personality: he was a great warrior with a good soul, but he was a poor leader with no ability to understand the value of connection/networking and that's why ppl were able to easily conspire against him. meanwhile, starting from the ground up to gain those skills while maintaining and adjusting his previously inflexible values, make him a righteous but developing man.
