goodguy MCs whose morals arent so far up their asses that id need a to conduct a prostate exam for their cancerous attitudes

it's pretty interesting. bc she's not necessarily a "good person" but she is very understanding of all those around her, especially in a far back time period and how certain social issues are like back then (misogyny, lgbt themes, etc). like regardless of how she treats people accordingly for their actions, she's pretty understanding of why they're a certain way even if it's unjustifiable. i'd say she's a very neutral and subjective good, which makes her feel very realistic

for a dude who got chucked into the 7th circle of hell with zero regards for his humanity and AFK'd his way out during his peak developmental periods only to get shoved into a worse circle of hell (public school) yet STILL actively chooses to be good is a feat. like bro it's gotta be smth in him that's a little janked up to still be emotionally inclined to be such a good dude afterwards.

portrayed and perceived as a villain, but has a very righteous type of personality that's independent of societal definitions/guidelines of what's good/bad. which i think is very cool, bc i like it when ppl follow what they want and what they want have the moral high ground, yet they're not righteous assholes who aren't aware morality is flexible and not predetermined by their own subjective views.

only on ch. 19 but dude is trying to live that retired oogway sensei lifestyle at the age of like 30. good for him tbh. love how despite his entire history and character up until now, he still clearly chooses to be good bc he is a good person- he is inclined out of just personal feelings, and he's not a weirdo about it, either.

honestly he doesn't make it on this list but i REALLY love this plot so far and i REALLY love redhead MCs who are free of moral limitations and therefore can fuck around if they want. he does choose to show kindness to those he isn't on good terms w, regardless of if it benefits him or not. he does it outta guilt, too. which is normal, but i also think having very emotionally realistic MCs is always more fun to read

i'd say he's a pretty good guy. tbh he doesn't have an outstandingly intriguing sense of ethics and action play that would draw me to put him on this list, except he really does try to solve problems in a way that does not take advantage of others. which is pretty difficult given his position and ambitions. and he does them not just to change his past self, but also to try and help others. it feels like it comes less out of guilt as time goes on, and just bc he wants to help :)

can i be honest. the good guy part only rlly comes in like chapter 45 or some shit like the rest of it is MC being an unspoken troll with the personality of a wet paper plate and i think that's SUPER funny. like i needed like 4x10 chapters to decide that he's an emotionally and morally good enough dude to make it onto this list LMAOOO. like even after all that i'd probably describe him by every one of his negative trait first if someone were to ask me his main characteristics

(tw: romance plot) taerin is like a good person in a casual way. like she has zero ulterior motives in all her actions, she's just doing it bc she likes you, she's having fun, or is just chillin' u know. she's that cool girl in the back of the classroom who'd chew gum and text during class and ask to braid ur hair if u sit in front of her while she's bored. like she is THAT girl who will tell some bully to stfu for being annoying w/o even giving u (victim of bullying) a 2nd glance u know.
