I guess most princesses end up with a prince, but isn't it more romantic to see the princess fall in love with the servant boy, that would be punished just for looking at her for too long.
There are countless dynamics like that, but i want to see the couple work out. I don't want a story ending where the servant boy gets to watch his beloved princess marry a man of equal status. That's just sad.
