Super intriguing plot that tackles ideas of corruption at a young age and how to battle with unreconciled traumas from all different perspectives. As a romance guru, although I really liked the romance aspect as it was well paced, the plot was the thing that really got me hooked. The art style is also super unique and I personally really love it. Beware of gore and some disturbing contents (Trigger warnings are indicated in the chapters too!).
Isekais have always kind of been the same plot with different characters, and I used to eat that up all the time. Nowadays, I've kind of been getting tired of the same cliches and plots, so seeing an isekai with more depth was super refreshing. It still has elements of isekais, but the plot/characters focuse on one main conflict rather than branching out into a million different villains. Definitely recommend if you want a unique isekai!
Secret Lady is just very beautifully written and poetic. If you boil it down to its actual plot, it's not that different from many isekais, but the execution and artistic illustrations differentiate it from your average isekai.
This one's DEFINITELY unique and has VERY uncomfortable displays of extreme bullying as prefaced in the summary. In my opinion, the plot started strong but progressively started losing its touch as I felt like it began getting a bit draggy and the purpose of her revenge began to dissolve. This manhwa did stick out to me though because I've never felt so distressed seeing a bullying scene.
I've not finished this yet but I'd love too! It's super witty and cute and is best read in a leisurely pace. There's not anything crazy that happens, but this manhwa gives me a sort of comfort through its style and interactions with the characters. If you ever read anything too traumatic, just go back to reading this and you'll feel better :)
Another reincarnation manhwa that was pretty intriguing! I really liked the dynamic between the family and the FL, and the conflicts kept me on my toes. I haven't read this in awhile though, but I remember being really hooked.
Really REALLY angsty for an isekai.. I was not prepared for the pain I felt for this poor girl. I can't say I enjoy what's happening currently, but the beginning to around chapter 80 is when it was at its peak. Do NOT read this if you're looking for romance between those two. I think he takes the crown for one of the worst MLs I've seen. If you're looking for angst, totally for you.
This is the first isekai that I've seen which has a protagonist that deals with anorexia/bulimia (? I'm not too sure). I haven't caught up on this one, but I remember it being really angsty and then becoming weirdly supernatural out of nowhere. I really wished they focused more on the FL's experience with anorexia instead of brushing over it with cartoon-like characters, but maybe that's just her way of coping. Tbf, I haven't read it in awhile so maybe they've
