it's literally so interesting... even if u aren't gay/don't read gay novels i recommend this (more of a romantic subplot rather than main focus). mc does have a bit of a protagonist halo which saves him from any situation to the point that it's outrageous but the way he manages to slip away every time while also focusing on profit maximisation makes me go crazy (in a positive way)
