The art may be unappealing at first but the plot is so beautiful. I initially thought that it's the typical love story of an ugly character and the gorgeous one but it was deeper than that. It's about bullying, tragic pasts, and broken relationships. The best thing is, this story shows the development of every character while facing all those hardships head on. The emotions as well as the lines are perfect for every scene. This was truly one of my favorites.
I read this in the hope of a simple, fluffy story and instead of giving me just that, it gave me so much more. I love how realistic this goes and how everyone can relate to the pain and the joy of falling in love. Lin Xiang and Guang perfectly represent the struggle of kids who love the same gender and instead of going on the fast lane, this story gave us a spectacular plot. It may be simple but it will always stay in my heart.
This manhua is truly a fun experience. While every chapter is brief, it always makes you crave for more. And that's a good thing! I love the slow development of the characters because that's reality. You could actually feel how they truly care for one another and I treasure everything that Old Xian gives the readers.
