Our MC is a doppelgänger for the emperor, who gets killed, MC made a promise with him and starts his life as him, fulfilling his goals.
I remember reading his a while back but it had a solid plot, some parts were a little bland. Overall though, it’s worth a read. I liked the ML and his possessive-a trope that’s my soft spot.
