Even before the shift to the 2nd couple, I was so annoyed with the characters. Cheng Jin gave me so much embarassment meanwhile Lu Tao gave me so much grief. I hate their relationship and quite frankly, I wasn't too invested in them remaining tigether. Don't get me started on the 2nd couple-

It was really agonising to read, but I kept going bc the angst was really good, and I loved how Nian'nan dicorced Yansheng in the end. It was really a "Good for him" moment
Sadly, it continued after that with Yansheng grovelling even though they would be better off if they were apart and divorce, so I dropped it there
