FL: 10/10 - Ginger Torte. 17yo romance lover who was truly adorkable. She acted her age, full of immature moments that delivered secondhand cringe but also laughter. Very likeable and quirky.
ML: 10/10 - King Izana. Young king who had been locked up in the tower most of his life due to his curse was serious but blossomed under the influence of Ginger, finding joy and laug
Some stories manage to go beyond what you hope for and deliver something truly special and memorable. I simply adored this manhua (available on WebComics). There were so many feelings evoked and such beautiful artwork, it’s definitely highly recommended.

Opinion: For me, this was a lovely story. I really liked how the FL rose from being an orphaned commoner turned slave to being one of the most powerful people of the empire based on her own strength of character, intelligence, and hard work. There was no luck of birth, no sudden lost royal family reunion to pave her way. She was the one to bargain with the emperor when a slave, the one who studied until exhaustion, and the one who worked all hours as the emperor’s secretary. H
