This one’s a ‘you either like it or don’t’, compared to other webtoons of similar genre and plot it’s not bad or anything but I feel like it’s kinda boring and I honestly just skimmed a lot of the chapters. It’s still in the child training arc where he’s getting stronger, so I’m hoping it’ll get better and more interesting.
Better than the comments make it out to be. The art starts improving quite abit later on as well. The MC is arrogant but only because he has the abilities too and the know how from his previous life. Besides that he’s actually quite hilarious and dedicated to the grind. Not only that he’s not obsessed with being #1 as people said which is misleading, its being the first to unlock special titles he’s after. It makes him stronger in prep to get his revenge.
This is literally immaculate and quite unique. It’s a true game world in which the characters are characters and have to follow the will of the player to a certain extent. I really like the concept and it’s been done quite well. The MC also doesn’t feel overpowered and it feels like he’s ‘levelling’ just enough for his current stats and level. I’m excited to see how this one progresses.
Only read 5 chapters but can’t get into it. Within 5 chapters it’s already skipped a month worth of training arc, he demolished the competition we barely saw, it skipped another month and now he’s on his way to the academy. Like ?? What’s even the point of giving him a player background when he literally doesn’t care he got decapitated. Mans became an NPC and suddenly accepts everything in 2 panels. Adding anyways because action plot and I’m gonna let this coo
I love love love niche roles. The story is only set in a VR game so in real life all this isn’t real, but for the MC it’s life or death if he doesn’t log in. My only irk is that his abilities focus more on the witch side not the ‘Doctor’, so he mainly just feels like a beserker with some summons and poisons but looks like the part of a witch doctor in fantasy. I just wanted something different, but nevertheless it’s still pretty good.
The MC dresses and feels like a borderline chunnibyou in a cheesy way. Everytime the writers try to give him a ‘I’m so OP and a genius moment’ it doesn’t come out right. Not to mention he’s next level OP and without his system he’s nothing. Him thinking stuff like ‘the weak won’t survive and they need to get stronger’ to other people as if he doesn’t have a cheat comes off cheesy. And same as other similar instances. The actual plot itself is pretty cool with the ghosts and underworld realm.
The summary doesn’t do justice to what the story actually is. He’s more of a cleric/paladin ‘lore wise’ I say that because most priest characters have to preach and expand the influence of their god. But his role is to channel the divinity of his god and gain influence. Not to mention the ‘kindness stat’ is misleading, I wouldn’t say it’s kindness but more of ‘good karma’. He’s not doing good deeds because he’s a holy father character, its usually conditional. Regardless is still pretty good.
