[UPDATED REVIEW as of ch 76]
I still stand by my last review in which I said there was some major details and plot points that are lacking. However, you could say they don’t really matter since the story is strongly circled around the MC re-living his gaming experience, becoming OP and not really the lore or towers. I personally think the world building and events or information leading up to the tower game is ass. 70+ chapters and not a single curiosity to find out why the game exists
[UPDATED REVIEW as of ch. 57]
Plot wise, nothing really is outstanding at the moment, in my previous review I said it would be interesting if he went the rune caster route but no he’s pretty much just your standard MC, which is a shame because too many similar genre/plot stories already do that. The art is phenomenal and it does get more interesting as the story goes on however I just don’t think anything in this makes it memorable yet. Good action and fight scenes tho
[UPDATED REVIEW as of ch 50]
MC decides to become a teacher, takes in disciples to teach. In my opinion there hasn’t really been much introduced or happened yet despite being 50 chapters in. I do still like the concept, it’s different from the usual, killed off in murim - transmigrates - strives to be strongest again.
Any morally gray protagonist is a W in my books. The MC isn’t afraid to kill or betray in order to survive.
He’s like an all powerful NPC that is mysterious and gives a helping hand in your quest. Except he’s just a bookkeeper that creates alot of misunderstandings. It’s pretty funny and balances between comedic to action quite well.
Overall, it’s a solid story. Nothing too outstanding. The concept of being able to use his past life abilities is cool but let’s be real, it says 990k but you’ll probably see MAYBE 15-20 at best. The MC himself is kinda boring but for the action it’s an ok read.
This will make you rage, because of how much of a piece of shit the students are. Story is about government officials that have the right to give punishment/re-educate shitty students using any and all means.
So far, it’s abit underwhelming but it’s a decent read. Others might enjoy it better but personally for me the MC was abit too much of a pacifist or bland, but in his defence he was a sage in his past life and lived in isolation with only his spirits as company.
I’m abit more biased because I enjoy law-based and lawyer stories, but I do think this was a decent webtoon especially if you like this type of storyline.
