It does include romance, but I just feel like this story shows that life is so much more than having a romance, and even the characters themselves seems to slowly realise this as well. Mostly, all characters have an incredible slowburn development.
It's a pretty sad story, but I feel like it shows p well that life isn't just about 1 emotion and you shouldn't let a few bad things/moment define the rest of your life.
TW:includes psychological abuse!
It's one of my favourite works ever. I love the way the anxiety from the main character was represented and reflected onto the way he see things(ex.: his father having only the eyes as a defined characteristic). I really enjoyed how they focused in showing the true process of going trough certain traumas, small improvement and that the process of healing is long and uncertain, instead of just trying to rapidly and unrealisticly solving the problems.
TW: parental abuse!
