One of the first reincarnation stories I’ve read and still one of my favorites! The art is gorgeous, the story seems well thought out with little filler, the ML and FL build their romance naturally instead of love at first sight, and the reactions strike a nice balance between realistic and ridiculous! MC is capable without being OP. She’s a normal girl who tries her best and you can’t help but cheer her on!
A villain who honestly did do awful things in her life (despite being unknowingly manipulated into doing so) which is somehow more satisfying than an innocent angel framed for everything. When Aria gets a second chance, she doesn’t try to become a perfect person, but uses all her skills and observations from her previous life to exact the best revenge: live well and trample on those who looked down on her.
Beautiful story, and it’s really told in a narrative style of a fleshed out fairy tale. MC does her best to uphold her promise and raise the children well, even as a recently widowed stepmother under the close eye of public speculation. Somehow it seems more real, with every character having their own motivations, complications, and feelings which draw you into the world.
***extra points for the wardrobe styling! It sticks to one general time period and creates a more immersive feel!
Girl transmigrates into a novel she wrote when she was a teen, as the stepsister to the ML. Watch as she navigates the future plot, conspiring nobles, and the ML himself! So far she has built intelligent business deals, forged sweet female friendships, and managed to avoid a reverse harem trope that stories like this tend to have. Romance is between her and her “stepbrother” the ML, so if that’s weird for you, don’t read!
This is such a good story and not only because of the gorgeous art! It’s a great concept to have our MC be villainous and scheming; Roxanna knows it’s the only way she can survive her family, so while she is capable of kindness (in saving the female lead’s brother) she will lie, cheat, attack, and get her hands dirty with the worst of them to achieve her goals. One of my fave MCs!
Girl travels back in time to her childhood self. I love this story because instead of leaving her family, Tia’s goal is to help her family succeed when previously they had fallen into ruin in after her grandfather’s death. Some of her relatives suck and the crown prince and empress are trash, but MC’s father, grandfather, teacher, aunt, and some cousins and so loving and supportive. ML definitely falls in love first but you get to see them bond and grow closer which is sweet.
A great look into falling into the “villainess” of an otome game. The story really humanizes about how such a situation could affect a child and draws parallels to the MC’s own life. Though occasionally frustrating when Pen interacts with the family, she fights for every inch she’s gained and doesn’t immediately forgive terrible acts against her just because they’re nice once. Mad respect!
This a beautiful story with beautiful art! Though the premise is cliché (girl transmigrated into the body of an infant princess with a cold/tyrant father) the world is well fleshed out with a solid plot that isn’t set aside for dozens of filler chapters. MC works hard for everything she achieves and you get the sense that she EARNS the love she receives from those around her. Also, Claude is a total hottie with understandable reasons for his cold and brutal nature. Not a huge fan o
An MC who is highly competent, politically savvy, and morally grey does everything required to please her mother and seat her half brother on the throne of the emperor. But she has done too much and knows too many secrets so her brother amputates and abandons her. She goes back in time, only now with future knowledge she will seat Grand Duke Evron, a capable man who cares for the common people on the throne. Complex characters and complex politics lead to a heavier but still enjoyable read.
One of the only harem setting stories I actually enjoyed reading! MC is great and seeing her go up against the FL and the system while navigating the complicated political landscape is really entertaining. Also, the story actually gives the male interests some dimension so that you grow to care for them beyond their relation to MC. Side note: Nadricka deserves the world!
