This is my list of shoujo/josei that have great female leads. What I think makes a great female lead is their character development and depth, depending if the story is more drama-based or more light-hearted. I am a sucker for romance so a majority of these if not all will have a great deal of romance!

These are in no particular order and will have a mix of manhwa and manga.
