the logistics are all over the place, but it's still hype to read. the characters are 2D and there r plotholes/weird pacing if you use your brain while reading this, so just don't and instead focus on intense art. in that sense it's kind of like solo leveling, except SL has a more stable plotline even if sjw has the character depth of a soysauce plate. MC is likeable due to the comedy + affection the art conveys, but in the novel he's honestly just a self-absorbed ass LOL
(ch 35) tbh this plot doesn't really intrigue me and kinda bores me, but it's still a read to pass time. MC is definitely an opportunistic fucker, which like, good for him
EDIT: this is like. peak trash that i can binge read in one go, and remember it because chinese manhuas are so distinct in both art and bullshit, second rate humor/power-level systems, that it actually differentiates itself as unique amongst all the copy-paste solo-leveling manhwas.
(ch 42) no he's definitely crossing into cruel immorality, but he like? i think?? has character development. he's also complicated in terms of being morally grey, so it works out. also he indiscriminately hates like everyone and i think that's really funny.
yeah. i remember this was probably my first dungeon-setting plot i've ever read, and really liked it up until i realized MC has like no emotional development at all. definitely 2D asshole who does whatever he wants, but not without a bottom line. kinda didn't want to put him on this list since i don't rlly like his character.

been a hot minute since i read this (i think i read this up to when it was nearing the end of the first season on webtoon) but for sure MC belongs on this list. hedonistic, self-centered, and clearly going through it LMAOO. like one of those ACTUAL assholes you know, like undebatably so at the start. like tbh, when i first read this, i found him funny so i liked him, but he was a MAJOR dick so i simultaneously genuinely hated him. love him so much.
(ch 26. i kinda got scared of reading ahead bc of the romantic undertones of the plot, whoops) he's definitely shameless, kinda does whatever he wants, and he's not necessarily an asshole about it but he's definitely an absolute psycho about it and i think that's REALLY funny. i might take this off the list though since i'm not fond of how the romantic sideplot is developing

Ranging from righteous goals with morally questionable methods to achieve them to questionable moral goal with questionable ways to reach them that can br misunderstood as brave/outgoing when really its down right terrible
sup! sorry for the late reply, but ya i would say a ton of characters on this list typically fall along that range, though i can't list any specifics off the to fo my head. i would say the first page, most fit the 2nd description you've offered though. "return of the crazy demon" fits the first description, i'd say!
