okay ngl i only read the novel not the manhwa but like. this dude like ? it's not "cruel" immorality it's just immorality like i've never rlly read another novel where i lowkey genuinely hated the MC's guts. however, i can't hate him for being who he is bc he's like. highkey not trying to hide it and the author doesnt write him in a way that excuses his existence like he's straight up trash and like lowkey kinda funny but like bruh i was so frustrated reading this shit but it was so GOOD u know

OG!ash's attitude is a maniac with zero regards for others' wellbeings, and retrotaku balances it out with his human levels of empathy. tho i do love how he's willing to push the insane narrative and go out of his way to speak his mind in a blunt and bizarrely intense manner. also he exploits the labor of all his un/consenting teammates even if ure on disability charge but he's a "do whatchu gotta do" bastard with the bare minimum moral high ground bc he includes himself in his gambles too

(ch12) bro the plot starts off as a preexisting trope but then it gets MAD meta. like the originality is clearly there and the art is SUPER good and i love the complexities between MC and the monsters, and he's genuinely like not a good dude at times. like he IS an traitorous asshole but it's also against ppl who don't trust him so it's very interesting. THE FANSERVICE IS SO FUCKING BAD THO LIKE IM CRYING

(82) changing my review bc i finally caught up to it. it's never explicitly said but you how he learns to appreciate colleagues and interpersonal relationships, but still retains his quality of quite literally being a slab of wet cement that's never allowed to dry via a hairdryer dangling over it, strung by his last nerve. i hope he pees out soup as karmic punishment that he so deserves, but i forgive him bc he has the willpower to cannibalize the rich 1%.

hes a politician he def belongs on this list . in all seriousness, he's calculative and immorally opportunistic, but it's scary how he feels like a real person in any situation. he's fleshed out with feelings and empathy but his abrupt and subconscious calculative coldness is all the more eerie because of it. his cousin is def his moral compass.

2nd ML is exactly this and im actually so in love with him but like literaly what the fuck is his problem. i love how the story gradually clears things up and his background to explain his actions, and at the end of the day you STILL ask what the fuck was his problem like NO salvation for him i stg. also sara, the girl, i love her and the bg teacher who had like two lines throughout this whole story

it's in the name. but also like MC isn't rlly an asshole bc if you think about it, he's just playing the game, but he lowkey is bc bro he does NOT hold back like he's essentially fucking up the game for everyone else, and he's well aware of it. like he will stare into the eyes of a player, and still proceed to choose the most degenerative option ever without batting an eye. idk why but im not too interested in the plot tho
