MC is an average guy, until the day he finds himself thrown into a trial to pick the successors to the gods (Greek, Roman, mythological, etc.). So, he decides to do whatever it takes to survive….
Fairly dark and backstabbing - and not just from our MC, who isn’t as OP as we might like. It’s a bit short, but I’m enjoying it for now and want to see where it goes. Enjoy!
MC is the last surviving member of the human race’s war against the demon king, but even he eventually looses to the king’s overwhelming power. Then, against all odds, he’s given a chance to begin again….
Pretty good. MC is more bold and knowledgeable than ‘clever’, but he’s also skilled and wants to change the fate of people he met along the way last time. For now, looking forward to more!
MC is the eldest daughter of her house when her parents are suddenly killed by a tyrant king. So, she and her younger sister decide to seek revenge…
Funny and lighthearted. Entertaining, although a touch overly-cliché at times. If you’ve previously read other stories like this, then you’ll appreciate how much the author plays with those clichés though, and changes some roles around. Strong female lead! Enjoy!
MC is the blooded princess, brought into the royal family after years in an orphanage - constantly compared to the adopted princess who has grown up there, beloved by all. Only problem is, their story lies in a book where our MC will eventually end up dead.
Eeh I mean it’s fine, but fairly simplistic and stereotypical for the genre. MC is pretty dumb - it’s not a problem, since pretty much all the other characters are too, but it’s still annoying. Lots of pink and flowers. Enjoy if you wish to!
Among the 12 chosen ones of the 12 dogs, MC is the 13th who somehow gained power on his own? Until the day he is presumed dead, trapped in the demon’s tower. Then, he escapes.
Short for now, with a bit of an…abstract plot, it’s funny and quick-paced. For better or worse, it reminds me a lot of Tomb Raider, but is slightly less exciting than most of its ilk because MC was always super strong, even if he’s gotten stronger now. Anyway, enjoy!
MC has just returned to earth from….somewhere. Only 5 years have passed earth-time, but somehow the mission he held elsewhere is now developing on earth as well?
Sorry for the poor intro. It’s less common to see an MC who was once strong, but who now has his stats reset. That being said, the longer this goes on, the more similar to Solo Leveling it seems. Alright and quick-paced for now, MC is shockingly bold with a touch of humor thrown in. Happy reading!
MC is a former, disgraced pro-gamer. Until the day he is invited to the ‘Tutorial’ and chooses the worst difficulty - the ‘hell’ difficulty.
Pretty good, although I’d like for him to eventually end the tutorial? The plot is a bit atypical and MC’s morals are a bit questionable, which makes it an interesting read. The timeline jumps around a bit but otherwise, promising! Enjoy!
MC is an ordinary college student, until the day the world becomes an ‘occupation-based’ game, where MC chooses the rare card, ‘necromancer’. So begins his fight for survival…
This was ok, but I found the art style a bit unclear, and the plot fairly standard? MC gets stronger, there might be a darkness in him, etc.. but it wasn’t quite as riveting as others of its ilk. Anyway, enjoy if you’d like!
MC is a former human-turned-battle-god who, erased from existence for his actions, who finds himself back on earth at the river Styx. There he makes a deal….
Pretty good. The art can be quite beautiful, but the storyline needs clarity and foresight. The author only explains things retrospectively, but as long as you’ve read similar plots before, you can follow along without trouble. MC is competent and an interesting balance of dark vs. good. Waiting to read more!
