! - It's a popular read but damn it's more like a recipe book. A dash of spice, followed by handful of angst and action along with a pinch of bittersweetness at the end and topped with heart-warming happiness. It truly is a rollercoaster of a book that leaves no character left out. It's also refreshing to see love blossom between the advisor and FL instead of the King which has been a common trope in the historical/royalty genre.
Worth a read because of how well-rounded it is.
! - This is what made me reconsider my own suicidal reasons. Even if you aren't suicidal, it is worth a read because of how action packed and journey filled the MC has with the God and his willingness to die. The ending makes you appreciate your own life a little more and be more mindful of those around you.
It has a bit of a vague open ending but it really leaves it up to you to imagine how it turned out in the long-run future.
I'll have to admit that I steered away from this book due to the title, I can't exactly pinpoint what was it that made stay away. But upon reading it after lots of hesitation, I do appreciate the story and romance between the MC. Really feels more like a journey seeing them travel and find their ways back to each other and learn about their unexpected coincidences. It's a light-hearted read, not too much focus is required to know what is going on. Basically you can read it with brain turned off.
