I'm getting bored of yaoi. Tired of shounen ai. And definitely bored of shoujo; everything is starting to have the same plot and I want something new and fun! So thus my adventure into the genre of seinen. I've found quite a handful of gems. Hopefully there'll be more. It stinks not having anything to read especially since reading is my drug.(don't worry I don't do drugs :o books are better! :p) List in no particular order.
A good story about character growth and appreciating what you have while you have it bc once you've faced death...usually thats it.

I was wondering why seinen characters have such big boobs (seriously, that seems to be in all of the latest seinen mangas that I read...sometimes they're really exaggerated and it bothers me bc I want to read about the interesting story, not about how your boobs defy gravity...lol), and then I realized that I don't even know what seinen means. So Mr. Google : Seinen manga (青年漫画) are manga marketed to adolescent boys and men old enough to read kanji. (⊙…⊙ )
It's like the clouds have gone away and I can see clearly now. Lol, so that's why seinen manga is usually bordering or even are ecchi. That's why sometimes there's exploitation of the female body like the big boobs, panty shots, or just overtly sexual scenes. It's fanservice for the guys bc the audience is usually guys...lol.
It's always bothered me, but I never thought to search up the genre before, lol. But it makes SO much sense.
I always thought seinen was just I guess scratchy art genre. Like, stories that focused just on storyline. Or seinen was mangas that strayed from the cliche shoujo/shounen. Less mainstream mangas and more...unique storylines? lol, idk, but I just wanted to share, so that in the future if I forgot why I'm seeing big boobs everywhere, it's bc the book was geared towards guys... ╮(￣▽￣)╭
