I’ve had high hopes for this story long ago. Back when they were still in their tweens and the blue haired bastard wasn’t thought to be the ML. I sincerely HOPED that the green haired boy would be the ML, but alas it seems like there’s a trend to go back to your abusers despite gaining a second chance in life. And to the people who try to defend that shit, go to hell. At this point I don’t blame the characters, I blame the author for writing this shit. How the hell do you fumble so BADLY?
There’s quite a few differences in this compared to the novel. Although I quite like looking at the pictures, the MC in the novel had a bit more of a backbone tbh. Especially, in the step-mother and sister scene

Edit 2: I NEED THE MC TO GAIN A BACKBONE. CH.50 MAKES ME INFURIATED. Actually, I don’t understand why MC is so not confident in things that REQUIRE confidence and firmness. UGH.
Man… fuck the “male leads”. I want her to end up alone. But I know she’ll end up with short black haired man. They all don’t deserve her at all. If only it was a tragedy and yuri, as in MC dies later and reunites with FL and they spend their immortality together happily
