It's interesting enough when she's manipulating the people who have betrayed her, but once she finds a working cell phone, she's way op. This is part of the genre of self-insert novels where the protagonist is beloved by all and their enemies constantly beat down while continuing to act despicably. It needed better characters.
This novel is the origin of all those villainess novels. She's a modern hs girl who's world is destroyed by a dragon, who only she can see. The sister of the dragon gives her powers before sending her to the past in another world. Apparently a version of her manipulated him to destroy the world. (They broke up(?), but looks like she just died LOL.) I'm almost positive they're stuck in a time loop. This would have to be well done to be interesting and it's just not.
Previously a children's clothing designer she transmigrated into the step-mother of a princess. While before she was only interested in her husband, who wasn't interested in her; now, she is only interested in her step-daughter. Except she doesn't actually draw the line with her husband that hard. And the way she acts with her daughter is CREEPY. Like sure, she tries to spoil her, but it doesn't feel like 'Step-Mother to the Hero'. It's uncomfortable.
I understand that it's hard to find an original angle for a transmigrated into a fantasy setting novel. However, the answer is not to make her originally a grandma. Like it's not that I don't believe that the elderly don't deserve love. But how can she have any romantic relationship with men 50 years younger than her. If the genders were reversed there would be no question that this isn't okay. She's mentally past all these men. It's a no for me.
I've decided it's not that interesting. MC is trying to avoid her bad end with the ML. MC transmigrated into the villainess who comes between the FL and ML. She's been trying to end their engagement ever since they were kids. However, she's actually been his rock and changed him irrevocably. He very much would like to continue to be engaged and he makes a deal that in one year's time either they find other people or they move forward.
This must have come out when there was a shortage of reincarnated into fantasy setting novels. It really did LOOK good, but there no substance to it. She's born noble, but not a high ranking one. She hears about a black haired person appearing as a saintness and wants to check it out. Turns out it's a disgraced actress whose trying to sleep her way into wealth. ML decides to get engaged with MC to deflect her. It's just not interesting or original.
So bizarre. It seemed interesting initially because they paint Ingrid as this competent, intelligent, knows exactly what she wants kind of woman. But she's kind of just selfish and tolerant towards her husband whom she forced to be with her. He, on the hand reads like a horror story. He abuses substances, he lashes out at her. He seems to be more and more dependent on drugs as it goes on. They're so toxic for each other and I genuinely don't understand the appeal.
