he's saving patients with unorthodox methods (medical techniques). tbh all the other healers are real dicks so mc (who's pretty materialistic as well) is pretty much revered bc the standard is hella low. also, every time he saves people there would be a system prompt with rewards of exp and points so it feels cheap when he helps them. and he basically skipped the studying bc of the system and can effortlessly apply the knowledge in his head irl so it's pretty smooth sailing for him.
the worldbuilding is solid, and the magic system is def well-thought-out. rather than the typical simple descriptions of 'magic' as a convenient tool for the fantasy genre, it's actually very interesting and I'm curious how mc will implement this magic in ingenious ways. also, there is romance, and the redhair girl def did not make a good impression but since the author wrote everything else well, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and believe she will get better.
stuck in a time loop that repeats when the Earth is destroyed by an asteroid, mc continuously labors away to find a solution to save Earth. for each life, he has no plot armor but his vague memories. he never gives up and makes more progress than in the previous life, but he is still obstructed and fails. it's disheartening watching him fail, but it's pretty realistic and unpredictable. fascinating ungeneric sci-fi with a tinge of mystery, and mc is at the center of it.
