charlotte, a monster, tried so hard to hide her monster inclinations and live normally for charlie's sake, it was all for naught bc of the uncle. it's sad how someone's perception of you could change so fast, even though you were always the same person. anyway, the art style really suits the overall feel/atmosphere of this story. edit: so heartwrenching, webtoon goes in depth about human nature. interesting charas; with some, chara development. ending was rather bittersweete
strong fl! and it's interesting how the 'gatekeepers' and the 'underground' aren't necessarily villains, but a product of the dictatorial society they live in. so they chose that path of execution that opposes the mc's. 'xevoltz' are just as exposed to the horrible system, but w/out a desire for bloodshed. many fleshed-out charas, but spoiler, there are lots of death. anyhow, this is a story of a clash of ideologies, how to overturn this messed up system and changed their opponents' thinking.
pretty unique premise. her older bro came back from another world, her second oldest bro is a regressor.
there's romance, and it's been established since ch 1. she's pretty decent, but she lacks autonomy. the art is nice, the worldbuilding is pretty nice, plenty of action sprinkled with some comedy. It's a very solid story overall, by the same creator as The Breaker. exorcists vs spectres. oh, and the mc is ur average shounen mc, kinda weak but with strong ideals, but at least he has some kinda mysterious op power derived from his past life for plot armor against way more powerful enemies.
