Yeah... I can't really see any similarities... I guess people just got too much of an impression on it and Claude... Now every handsome blue eyed blondie (that doesn't look childish) reminds people of him amd makes them compare the comic with HMMP... ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I’ve read a lot of manga that does kind of follow the "suddenly became a princesse" plot and characters but this is just not it.. (=・ω・=)
Of course, it is not the same plot darling, No big brain needed. But think about this :
- Real daughter vs Fake daughter
- Daddy believing Fake Daughter is the real one
- Real Daughter always tried to get her Daddy's love
- Daddy never showed love to his Real Daughter
- A magician of the Tower
- A dude that looks like Claude

Just liking more the other daughter instead on the mc for many any reasons...
Mc having to "conquer" the father/family/male lead's affection (usually under future death threat)
An OP golden tight that the mc latches onto.. (tower magician, holy beast, op knight, prince, duke, etc..) who *gasps in fake surprise* usually tends to end up being the real ml...
And well... they are usually in a fantasy European historical setting... there's always, always a blondie blue eyed dude... or the mc... or the antagonist... but always at least one... that will be compared to either Claude or Athy... or a black haired red eyed to Lucas... even long haired mls...
Really. It's all cuz HMMP was the first webcomic with those settings to become really popular. The art of the previous ones were either too simplistic for a romance comic or too detailed/exagerated like the Chinese ones... It was like the eureka moment where they found the balance of what kind of art would be popular... so everything now reminds us of it in some way.
I do love HMMP. And this is not a critic on it or anything.. more like explaining why theres always comparison with it. That only doesn't happen in modern or ancient oriental setted comics...
Advise: If you don't take those minor differences a lot, and I really mean a lot, in consideration, at some point you'll only see more of the same when reading these kind of romances.
Ok, add one kuudere/ausent/unloving parent and other dead/missing with mysterious identity parent to make the staple parents too...

Oop i didn’t really put that together (I’m a little slow) ... I admit defeat (〜￣△￣)〜 but this trope is non-unique to "suddenly became a princess". It wasn’t the first manga with that trope and honestly you can find sooooooo many with that plot. Suddenly became the princess is the best though and can’t rrly compete (mainly cause of the god-like art )
