Hmmm I kinda agree with you that the story of 10 y was pretty straight forward and I also didn’t sympathise with the characters a lot. But I think that happened cuz I just couldn’t relate to any of the characters. Also I thinl the plot of KS was pretty simple too but it was the complexity of the characters of KS that made it a really good psychological thriller. However the characters of 10 y were pretty simple imo. They were definitely not just 2 dimensional characters but the level of complexity was not at the level of KS. That’s kinda my opinion also pls excuse my horrible writing skills.
Hi all. Open question to anyone who read both Killing Stalking and 10 years where I loved you the most. I'll express my very personal take.
After KS, I was looking for something as well written and heart trobbing, but even after reading all the comic and comments of how emotional and tragic was 10 Y... I didn't really connect with it... I have the hunch the comic might not be as good as the novel, but overall I just didn't feel the emotional weight of it all, I never really empathize with the characters.
Also, 10 y is a very straight forward story, while KS is *very* complex and with layers of hidden meaning. I think not many people really understood the ending as well, or even the true intentions of the characters. Any opinion??
