Kins: a kin basically becomes a vampire's "meal" after they bite them, so they basically live just to feed the vampire. Now I belive assimilation is some type of power tha 't can be used by the vampire to kind of weaken the kin and take their blood even if they don't want to.
Back in the day a vampire (tbey were powerful in society), would walk around and if they smell a scent of blood that they liked emanating from someone's body that basically means that that person can become their kin. Cause the blood they drink from pouches doesn't taste like anything, but the blood of a kin tastes great.
If they bite the person (that smells good to them) they become their kin, now u can't just take ppl away from society, so they used to either marry the kin or take them as servants. In reality if they weren't married and were servants who RESIDTED givibg blood they would just be chained and be used as livestock. They also were not given eternity like rn (now when u choose a kin u make them a half vampire and so they become immortal too AND their senses get stronger but they don't get the physical strength of a real vampire)
In the past, kins were prohibited from contacting the outside world because vampires did not trust them to keep the existence of vampires a secret, and if a kin still resisted despite anything that done to them to give blood then they would just be murdered. So a LOT of kins have been murdred in the past.
NOW tho, there's this kin system in which if a vampire and their kin get along then great, and if they don't the kin system makes it possible for them to have a business-like relationship where they could pay them for their blood, or at least give them something in exchange. They're not murdered like they used to in the past and now as I said they get eternal life and stronger senses.
A lot of people in the photoshoot (not the crew, but the sponsors that visited to check on Minhoon) are aware of the whole vampire thing because they're affiliated with the dad. As for the kin system, anon explained it really well:
THE KIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE CONFUSED
Kin management go together with blood distribution. Disrupting it would lower the vitality of the family, including the head (Dad). Edric's (orange head) proposal is to close off that system in order for them to overpower the dad so that Hyungwoo can disarm him with the "dominate" power (aka the weird red blood aura permeating the area that holds power over kins and vampires alike). The only one who can hypothetically stop him is his pure-blood son, Hyungwoo (he's only an 'infant' though so going toe-to-toe without prep is a death sentence).
Edric's initial plan to stop dad:
>drama shoot location in rural area to get dad away from gunchan
>temporarily stop blood pack distribution
>split into two teams
>team 1 (lil bro and edric will split up to stop blood distribution)
>team 2 (hyungwoo w/ minhoon stops dad, chief infiltrates hotel to get gunchan)
What actually happened:
>edric disrupts the blood distribution by himself, gets shot a lot
>hyungwoo leaves minhoon behind, rescues gunchan, heads to set to stop dad
>lil bro stays behind to protect the human kin (gunchan, minhoon, chief)
>dad predicted everything they did and called minhoon to work for him instead
>minhoon takes the offer but has a couple of conditions
This wouldn't have worked if Minhoon hadn't used his scent as a weapon.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF EDRIC'S KIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Before Edric's proposal of the kin system, they used to kill their kins. Chief gave his blood to Edric who almost died while wiping out an entire clain. In exchange for chief’s life to be spared, Edric made a deal with dad. Edric would become administrator of the Kin system under dad's command. Edric's original kin system has to do with making hostages by exploiting the relations between vampire and kin.
BEFORE: manage vampires by taking kin hostage, slaughtering those who disobeyed
PRESENT: manage them by making them destroy themselves without killing them directly

MINHOON'S CONDITION / PROPOSAL
>Minhoon gets the rights and complete independence to manage kin (to break the corruption of the current kin system) and in exchange, Hyungwoo can be closer to his vampire people.
>Dad will think about it until the end of the drama shooting. He wants to see their potential and conviction. If he likes what he sees, he'll agree to the separated kin management system and pass Minhoon off to train in Europe.
Basically Minhoon's test is to review the kin management system while taking over the tasks Edric was previously assigned to do for the drama they're shooting: handling product placements, choosing and matching said products, contacting sponsors, etc. I’m guessing the sponsors are actually under the family name? or at least affiliated with the vampires.
For the future plans regarding the kin system, Minhoon wants everyone's freedom so there's no need for 'management', no restricted freedom, and to give support to people who need it.

HOW MINHOON MANAGED TO GET DAD TO AGREE TO THE BUSINESS PROPOSAL
Gunchan was first to lay down the facts that
a kin is similar to a vampire apart from two things:
1) kins don't need blood
2) difference in strength
The rest are fairly similar; eternal life, control physical growth, and the sensory of a vampire. Which means Minhoon can use his scent to force vampires to stop where they are, and his in particular can fill an entire building. It could be used as a weapon.
To test this theory, Minhoon needs a bit of his blood and his mindset thrown into an extreme situation. Lil bro proposes to bite him to get things started. The compulsion of the scent is faint. Edric, who had people standing by with silver bullets-- shoots Gunchan on the shoulder to throw Minhoon off balance. This triggers Minhoon's panic, letting his scent flood the room. It managed to stop all the vampires on their feet (lesser vamps collapse while powerful ones suffocate), proving their theory about Minhoon's scent true.

TLDR: Kin system is the backbone of dad's family that made them really strong. It's managed by Edric but Minhoon's goal is to claim management and separate it from the family affairs and to get rid of the 'hostage' part of the arrangement that's been going on for several centures. Sponsors aka the vampire family affiliates of dad vampire are there at the photoshoot to size up Minhoon to see if a 'lowly kin' is capable of handling a system that's been going on for centuries.

As for the story: (spoilers)
Minhoon is hyunwoo's kin (sorry I'm bad with names lol), and he he has a very strong scent compared to other kins.
Hyungwoo's dad (vampire zaddy) has this power called DOMINATION, he can dominate other vampires and other kins (kins are more easily affected by this power so they put a weirs medicament in their mouth to avoid his 'domination')
Minhoon, after an accident where he got super shocked discovered he could strengthen his scent to the point where it can be used as 'domination' it basically paralyses vampires.
Hyungwoo and vapire zaddy are the last two pure blood vampires. The others are either born of a human parent and a vampire parent or are kins (half vampires with less power than thpose who are born from parents of different races)
The vampire dad makes gunchan his kin because he notices that he isn't affected by his DOMINATION, he thinks Gunchan might come from a family of hunters but after a bit of research vampire dad finds out that he doesn't and mentions how the vampires have eradicated hunters. Turns out ppl like Gunchan that can resist vampires (like the hunters) can be born out of normal families but it's super rare that that happens. So vampire dad is basically just being careful
Hyungwoo more than 300+ ran away from home because the house killed his kin, and so he stopped drinking human blood. He felt bad and regretted making her his kin because he was a child and didn't know the consequences it'd have on her life back then.
The vampire dad hates humans because of his wife (she was one of the few pure bloods that weren't killed) His wife loved humans, and she had a sister, her sister got killed by humans and she gor super sad. After 100 years I think, vampires die and reborn (kinda like a ritual) for their new life. She was so sad she decided to not wake up and basically kinda stopped living , it was the first time a vampire CHOSE to stop their eternal life. Vapire didn't like humans but after his wife's 'death' he started DESPISING them

Oh, I forgot to mention about the relation between a vampire and their kin, and the crumbling ideology of dad. Dad thinks (or is in denial; someone theorized he took kins before but his domination power is too strong so they often go insane which made him not take any more kins for several centuries, until gunchan who's immune: http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/4462809/) kins are basically pawns/food source but considering the way their abilities compliment each other (kin gives blood to vampire, eternal life, control of physical growth, enhanced senses), it's as if they were meant to be a companion for life.
Hyungwoo's deceased mom mentioned it in passing in a flashback during the hospital scene, Gunchan deduced it from what little information he managed to soak up, the little brother mentioned it again in ch 81, and Hyungwoo (+ Edric/Chief) is actual proof with his relationship with Minhoon.

Just finished reading till Chap. 81. The artstyle is exceptional! The characters are all eye-candies! But ... I don't why it's hard for me to follow the story It's confusing for me, like the kin thing and why nobody's questioning how young the Master is and more? Argh! I'm ashamed of my dumbness I want to understand this so bad. Can somebody give me sort of a summary or explanation of this story?
