this kind of thing still happens. i changed jobs in 2018 because i had a stalker that sexually assaulted me at my old job. when i started my new job i told my boss what had happened and showed him the restraining order that was taken out against the guy. i was told by my victims advocate that i should do that in case any problems occurred. my boss treated the whole thing like it was a joke and told me i shouldnt be such a flirt and the guy wouldnt have done that to me. i was furious but i couldnt afford to quit or get fired so instead i explained i had never met the guy before he just laughed and made jokes about the guy finding me and following me home. he got a couple of other employees in on it and they were all putting the blame one me saying i somehow deserved it. i quit that job as soon as i could and reported him and the other employees but nothing was ever done. i later found out he had been giving out my personal information to anyone who would call asking for me. my schedule, birthday and phone number and area i lived in. that was early 2018 and he still manages that store.
ugh he is so disgusting! hope he gets what he deserves someday. it’s good that you quit!
should report him for breaking data protection laws (not sure what country you live in so you should check first) but in mine, even the police sometimes even need a warrant for information.
what the fuck kind of school is that!? i’d rather quit than put up with a bunch of accusations from students and fellow colleagues. it’s 2019 for goodness’ sake! at least stand up for yourself!
